ICYDK – Wildlife Crossings, Providence Still Striking, & Beaverton Powerball Winner
Looks like Oregon will be getting one of those Wildlife Crossings so migratory animals like deer and elk and coyotes and mountain lions can safely get across I-5. It’s gonna be down near Ashland, and should save a bunch of money in vehicle accidents, plus think of the money they can raise when they auction off hunting tags for that spot. Huge.
The lawmakers are back home in Oregon this week, Senator Wyden over the weekend, and Oregon’s newest Congresswoman Maxine Dexter last week, both of them joining the picket line for the Providence Healthcare workers. That strike is well into its second week, and is the largest healthcare strike in Oregon history. We do love setting records.
And finally, the first Powerball winner of the year in America was drawn over the weekend, and wouldn’t you know it, it was somebody in Beaverton. $328 Million was the total, and of course, nobody has come forward yet, because they’re trying to find out who their friends are first.
