ICYDK – Microplastic Fish, Dame Returns Home, & Wiener Week
Microplastics can now be found in the majority of our fish here in the Pacific NW, including Chinook salmon, lingcod, rockfish, shrimp, herring, and lamprey. As our plastic waste breaks down in the ocean, fish eat it, and then it’s there forever, which seems like bad news, but eventually, won’t that mean when they come out of the sea, they’re kinda pre-packaged?
Damian Lillard came back to Portland last night, it was a good game, but the cute moment kinda came when he posted this pic of him and his kid with the caption, “Back in Portland and right back to the school routine with my oldest. Jersey day!” Awwww, that’s cute… and then his oldest got to watch Dad get beat last night. Go Blazers.
And finally, it’s Wiener Week in Portland! There’s about 40 restaurants around town that are participating in this, and they get pretty creative with it, with kimchi queso wieners, and Vietnamese banh mi wieners. The full list of restaurants is online, and I’m sure if you’re on Tinder, there’s a healthy chunk of dudes participating in Wiener Week as well!
