ICYDK – Baby Elephants, In-Person Voting, & Naming Snowplows
There’s a little baby at the Zoo, c’mere baby, who’s a baby? Rose-Tu, our beloved mama at the Oregon Zoo gave birth over the weekend. Vets haven’t gotten close yet, but they think it’s a girl… what her name is, and whether she stays at the zoo is all up in the air, but… I hope so, because I wanna bring mama a casserole.
Some folks in Central Oregon wanna do away with mail-in voting in our state. They admit there’s no evidence of fraud in our elections, but just because there’s no evidence don’t mean it ain’t happening, so let’s scrap it, and vote in person. They’ve introduced a bill, they’re gonna try and get it on the ballot… I wouldn’t hold your breath.
And finally, the votes are in and the names are decided for the city’s new snowplows, aaaaand… not bad, Portland, not bad. Ready? Here we go. The Big Leplowski. Beverly Clear-y. Brrrrnside. Salt and Thaw. And because every vote like this has to have one of these… Plowy McPlowface. Never change, Portland, I love you.
