ICYDK – Landslides, Postal Worker Rally, & Compressed Air Prohibition

Cornell Rd. is gonna be shut down today up in the high parts because the rain got a little out of control over the weekend and caused a landslide up near Skyline, and that’s just one of a couple roads closed up in the hills. Also, you’ll wanna stay out of the Willamette for the next couple days too. This much rain… always means poo.
Local postal workers got together over the weekend to do some shouting. There’s been some talk from the federal government over the weekend to bring the Postal Service under the Commerce Department, which it hasn’t been; it’s been independent for over 50 years. If you know your mail carrier or know somebody who is, tag them or hit them up; ask what they think.
And finally, y’know these things? Compressed air duster things? Well apparently, you can get high off of them, and there’s a bill that’s been introduced in the Oregon Senate that, if passed, would put them behind glass cases in stores, and you’d have to show ID to buy them. And here I was still trying to figure out the Tide Pod thing.
